Booking Terms and Conditions
Accessibility - Many of our events (farm tours, alpaca treks, animal walks, etc.) mostly consist of walking around different areas so the terrain may be bumpy, rough, or muddy. Since the farm is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of NC there are hills. These walks require the ability to be physically fit enough to stand and walk around. On the animal walks if bringing a child please evaluate to see if you feel they’ll be able to walk the trek that can last around an hour.
Animals - Live animals, even the sweetest, have the ability to bite, kick, spit whether they mean to or not. Some animals, like alpacas, are more skittish than others so please stay calm and don’t make sudden quick moves.
Accidents - Accidents can happen anywhere. We strive to keep guests updated on safety instructions and details as we walk through the farm and trails. Please keep your eyes open and look around. We cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries that occur on our farm.
Age restrictions - Please take note of the age restrictions for each event if listed. Failure to comply may result in entry refusal to the event and no refund will be given. We try to make each event age appropriate for safety.
Alpaca Treks - At this time we’re only offering these for adults ages 16+. The event lasts somewhere from 45-60 minutes, in sometimes rough terrain - we’re in the mountains so depending on the weather there could be rocky, muddy or slippery areas. All guests must have a ticket and waiver.
Amending Bookings - We’re sorry for there are no refunds as we have to schedule our farm staff to be here and ready for your entry and guiding you along each event in a timely scheduled manner. Many of these events are of a very limited time frame and only happen certain times of the year and it makes it hard to fill those positions so close to the event if canceled. We hope you can either share your tickets with someone else if you can’t make it or we can adjust your booking to a different date if you let us know at least 72 hours ahead of time (three working days). If you don’t contact us at least 72 hours prior to your event, we will be unable to move your event. Please understand we must uphold this policy under all circumstances. It takes a lot to organize each event and schedule staff as well as run a farm so we must have order and stay organized. You can contact us by email/text landofmilkandhoneyfarm@hotmail.com or 828.773.3692
Booking an event - All events are booked online to keep the schedules very organized. Choose your event and schedule per booking instructions.
Tardiness - If you show up late you may miss your event and there will be no makeup of time missed. If you “no show” there will be no refund or reschedule of the event. Please have your waivers filled out ahead of time. If you have trouble filling them out, please arrive early so you can do them before the event time.
Pets - We’re sorry but no pets are allowed at the farm except task trained service dogs. Please don’t bring them and leave them in your vehicle either as we don’t want them to overheat.
Photos - During the events, your guide will be happy to take pictures of you with your device at the stopping points. Occasionally we will take pictures to add to our social media outlets. By booking with us we will trust you and your party accept this unless we are notified on the day of or prior to the event. Please let us know if you prefer not to have any pictures of you used.
Pre-existing medical conditions - Our staff is not medically qualified nor in a position to assess the capacity of participants to undertake an event. It remains the guest’s responsibility to do such an assessment prior to the event. If in doubt, consult your physician.
Pregnancy - This is a working farm with live animals. Therefore, natural bacteria and parasites exist and may be harmful to a pregnancy. If you choose to visit the farm or participate in an event, we recommend you not touch any pregnant sheep or lambs and thoroughly wash your hands especially before consuming food. If any doubt, please consult your physician.
Weather - We run our events in almost all weather unless unsafe or if it would be miserable like a rain downpour. If we have to cancel we will contact you as soon as we can to reschedule. Please dress appropriately for your event.
