Alpaca Walks

PEACE - LOVE - FUZZ

What to expect? - Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our farm staff who will introduce safety guidelines and handling practices for when walking the alpaca. You will have some practice with these skills and then you will depart on your journey, a peaceful walk for approximately 45-60 minutes through the farm and woods, alpaca in hand. Terrain may be bumpy, muddy, or uneven, so watch your step and bring your calm self — alpacas are gentle but easily startled. At this time, we’re only doing ages: adult and 16+ (only with guardian on trek as well).

Alpacas - Please be aware that alpacas are generally gentle animals, but they are still live animals with natural behaviors. On rare occasions, alpacas may spit or kick, usually in response to stress, discomfort, or social interactions with other alpacas. While this behavior is not typically directed at humans, it can happen. We ask all guests to remain calm, respectful, and attentive around the animals at all times to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. To avoid startling the alpacas stay calm and avoid touching the alpacas from their front shoulder to their tail.

What to bring? - Comfortable footwear (closed-toed), appropriate clothing for the weather, it can get chilly depending on the time of year. Bring your camera and your excitement! No personal animals allowed, please leave them at home so they don’t overheat in your vehicle.

*Weather: We try to run in all weather unless it’s going to be just miserable. If we need to cancel the trek, we’ll notify you as soon as we can to reschedule.

Ready to take on our trek of a lifetime?

  • All reservations must be made via our website or down below. Reservations are required to attend.

  • Fridays and Saturdays are when they are held. Typically, we will have our treks in the morning to early afternoon.

  • Ages 10+ are welcome to join! Minors 12 and under should walk with their parent, rather than have their own alpaca.

Late/Cancellation Policy:  If you are late, you may miss out on the trek.  Please plan on coming 5-10 minutes early and have waiver done ahead of time if possible.

Pregnancy Advisory

As a working farm, we house live animals and cannot eliminate natural exposure to bacteria and parasites that, in certain cases, may pose a risk during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, we advise avoiding direct contact with pregnant sheep or lambs, and recommend thorough handwashing after interacting with any animals, especially before eating.

The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
